It was a pleasure to work with [name removed] and [name removed]. They always responded to our needs quickly and tried their best to resolve any issues. What I didn’t like was the quality of kitchen cabinets paining job. They weren’t sanded enough to make it soft and the brand new soft close hinges were all painted.

My warranty manager always very responsive on my concerns and have addresses the issues I brought up quickly. The customer care team always follow up to make sure my requests were closed completely. I don't like there is a very small file size limit on the warranty request form. I can't even upload a photo from my iphone, and it takes me a extra step to communicate the issue with the warranty service manager.

Liked the organized streamlined process. Did not like some limitations on customer choices such as mandatory double oven in kitchen.

This was a long process building our dream home, however at the end we were absolutely satisfied with the level of quality and craftsmanship that was put into the house. I would like to specially thank the project manager [name removed] for his commitment to the entire process and his attention to detail in ensuring everything was carefully planned and executed. He also made sure every concerns of ours were taken care of promptly. At the end of the build process he gave us a very detailed walkthrough giving every single information in order for us to not only know the home features but also to maintain them. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with everything in regards to the build process and would highly recommend Southgate Homes to anyone who are looking to build their ultimate dream home!

[name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] has been great to work with! They were on top of things and provided me with regular updates on the progress. Any time we had questions or any issues came up, they were handled timely and professionally. We were relocating from Massachusetts, so we were a bit nervous about the entire process given we are not going to be here all the time to check on our house, but they made the entire process very seamless. One item we wished we had a better experience in is communication and responsiveness from your title company. Our lender had requested some information at the end of October and there was no communication or response from them for almost three weeks despite of multiple follow-ups. Given we went with your preferred title company, we expected a better communication and experience from the title company. Once we got their attention (and [name removed] had to follow-up constantly), they were communicative and responsive the last few days but we hoped that it had not come down to the last few days. Our loan would have been cleared to close a couple weeks ago than it did if my lender did not have to wait for the information from the title company. On the day of closing and the last few days before closing, our experience was good with the title company, but prior to that our experience with the title company could have been much improved.

Everything was very good right from the beginning till the end. Everything happened on time as per the plan. House was handed over to on time as per the planned schedule. [name removed](Sales Manager) was very helpful and accommodating the closing date, chosen by us. [name removed](Construction Manager) was very patient during the inspection of house and he fixed every small details pointed out by us. We are very pleased to get a Southgate homes. The quality of the house is extremely good. Overall experience has been fantastic. I love everything about [name removed] homes.

Dislike: 1. Not all issues brought up during final inspection were fixed before closing, not even now, two weeks after we move in. 2. Before signing contract, I was required to pay a lot more deposit than the advertised number Likes: 1. Construction manager is very easy to work with. Communication is open and smooth. 2. [name removed] agrees to fix every issues brought up by me and inspector, even minimal ones.

I do not like how things have started to break within the first year. Cabinet doors are coming off, exhaust fans are noisy, already had a major HVAC issue etc. This does not give me confidence going into year 2, where there will be no builder warranty and I’ll have to bear the cost of it.

The entire contracting process was very smooth. [name removed] was extremely helpful , collaborated throughout the process and made it Very easy on a large value house purchase like this. The construction process was well structured with [name removed] the construction manager setting the right expectations and ensuring everything is running on track. Both have been exceptional and the best customer connoisseurs.

We were the first homebuyer in the Painted tree community and with that we were the Guinea Pigs to go through the design selection process which was a extremely bad experience for us. The sales person was horrible and she didn't have any thrive to help the customer to go through the design selection and help them design their homes. After the design selection, we were given a constant update on the progress of the build by [name removed] and [name removed] on a weekly basis. At the end, we did come across a big road block where we were not happy with the Countertops, which we raised it with [name removed] and [name removed]. [name removed] did setup a meeting with the supplier and "[name removed]" (VP of Construction) which went horribly bad as [name removed] does not have any customer service! and made us felt that [name removed] does not care of their customer. This meeting was heated and at the verge of ending the contract. We requested to go further and discuss our concerns with [name removed] (President). We did have a call with [name removed] and it was the game changer experience talking to him, he handled the situation very professionally and handled the situation. Overall [name removed] and [name removed] scores 10/10, [name removed] -10/10 and [name removed] 10/10
