My salesman was great. He kept us informed and updated. he made a lot of contact with us throughout the process. I feel [name removed] did not give. Everything was their way. We wanted certain things and were told we were not able to do. Some aspects of the home seemed wasted, yet we had to pay for all or nothing components. ( like mirrors, blinds, etc.) However, there a few things out of his control that he was unable to do. I was disappointed that light fixtures and some other things were not included. I have additional purchases to make to complete my home that were offered in other homes we looked at. We selected a home with one elevation and wanted palm trees on our shutters. Moving to SC was to have palm trees. However, when we changed elevations, the palm trees were replaced with pineapples and we were not told . We found out when we saw photos of our home. There was a crack in main bedroom floor concrete, not repaired. We were told it would not be a problem. However, the driveway did not turn out the way our super liked, so he had it done over. Upon initial walkthrough, a few problems arose. they were fixed immediately when we returned for closing.The process was overall smooth. When we did have questions along the way, our salesman always addressed them. Our closing was very smooth and house looked great. We had a few problems the first few days, and our super as well as our Mastercare rep handled them well and immediately.

Sales rep was very informative and not pushy. Stay n play helped us to decide to live there. Closing was terrible due to lack of proper communication with our lender. Happy with our home, very few issues. Master Care could do better, it took 3 visits to resolve a fairly easy gutter issue.

Phase “B” Interior designer was not very personable or very accommodating. We felt rushed during the selection process.

The design process was relatively straight forward - there were a few options that were a little confusing, but if you ask the sales and design personnel, they were great at explaining. The home warranty/maintenance team has been especially responsive to us. We did not expect perfection when we closed on our home, but our building supervisor did an awesome job at getting very close to perfection. When things weren't perfect, the Minto warranty team came in and repaired things promptly. The landscaping warranty process is another matter. Communication is terrible with them and they don't seem to care about the home owner (we still have several dead plants that need replaced that was reported several months ago).

The fact that these homes were built quickly and not by skilled professionals is a disappointment. It would have been helpful for those employees to have a level with them while building…..a lot of walls were not level in our home. More attention to detail would have been nice.

Like: I love that Dom and management secured an age waiver to allow us to be under contract and move in a few months before we were age 55. Dislike: Our original closing appointment was cancelled because Minto failed to provide a signed age waiver to our lender for closing despite have been asked a week prior. Dislike: During our Home Celebration, my realtor and I were extremely disappointed with the condition of the lanai concrete (mud pops, patches, overall very crappy appearance). It looked NOTHING like the model concrete. We made our feelings known immediately and told Jim Head and Dom that something must be done. Although many things have been attempted, they only caused more damage and made the concrete look worse (screen door damaged / replaced, sliding glass door damaged / replaced). This issue is still not resolved. Dislike: I am retired military. A couple months after I signed a contract, Minto started offering a $5K credit toward upgrades. Minto will not retroactively apply that to somebody under contract. Fine, but I asked for much less than that to cover my horrible concrete, and Minto still has not done anything to help us.

Matt was our construction superintendent and his communication was excellent. After closing, Darla has been outstanding to work with; communication has been thorough and timely, which we greatly appreciate. Overall this has been a smooth/easy and enjoyable process. We are lucky. We didn't have major crisis with our house. Everything had been addressed. The only issue I'd say is that you Never know how long it will take to get addressed and if the repair person is good at their job. We do currently have slight buckling of our roof shingles that have been noted in case an issue arises. Our mastercare rep Kim was amazing. She was responsive and got the job done

The quality of the build process is much to be desired. There was more of a focus on building fast rather than building correctly and with pride. Major flooring issues caused me to have to move furniture multiple times at my own labor. It appears I have another major flooring issue in the floor by the lanai sliders needs to be leveled - requiring me again to have to move my furniture. Nicole Dwyer (our Mastercare rep) has been super fantastic to work with. She is an 11 out of 10 rating. Unfortunately, she has had to be the face of Minto trying to resolve our issues with the build quality. She handled it with grace, held her company accountable, and never once tried to say things that I heard from Matt Cantrell (our building super) that the lack of quality should be expected and accepted. Nicole is a fantastic employee and should be rewarded.

My only issue was that 4 of the doors were changed to a different style and I was never notified. They were not what I expected or wanted and they refused to change them back to the original doors in the plans. Very disappointing. Other wise everything has been great.

Like Colin our superintendent. He was excellent and was on top of the issues we had, which were minor to start. Our only negative issue with the landscaping and irrigation. We have so many issues with front and back lawn, irrigation, and dead plants. Irrigation was finally resiled after 10 months btu the plants had already died and never replaced. Back yard is a swamp. on so on.

We both feel that the B selection process was wonderful. We have built two other homes and this was such a smooth process. Having a wonderful designer - Savannah- help us make sure everything we picked worked well together and being able to pick everything at one place was so easy. Plus having beautiful quality choices. Also Luke was a wonderful supervisor- always quick to answer questions and help with anything! Great Experience!

Overall, the experience has been good - have enjoyed working with [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]. The companies/workers have been quick to accommodate any concerns. The HOA itself can be difficult. They tend to be unavailable if needed, not always pleasant, and I understand they must deal with alot of nonsense at times. However, it is a customer service job and there are certain expectations. The HOA is the main reason I would not recommend someone to move here. If somehow this can be turned around, it would be to one's advantage, which is why I always feel it is best to have homeowners on the HOA board because they can see first hand the difficulties and struggles the HOA deals with. I am certainly happy to discuss further if you like.

All during and after my Dreamsicle build, I was always included in the decision making and updates of my home. Now that I have lived in my home for 6 months, I am very very happy with the quality of the build and my MasterCare Representative, Catherine Malonis. Catherine is quick to respond to any question or concern I may have, which have only been a few minor details. My community and neighbors are also great and welcoming. I am also enjoying the various clubs, activities and experiences offered living in LMHH. Overall, I could not be more pleased and happy with my decision to buy, move and live here in this amazing community.

you should have a couple of days to finalize the A Options choices It was an emotional and quick decision to move to Margaritaville. We wanted to make 2 or 3 small changes (like having a utility sink in the garage) the day after we signed the initial structural contract and told "absolutely no changes to yesterday's choices". Why is that?

Quality of the finish work was lacking (miter joints in baseboards & door frames). Better choice of location for such things as towel rods. Example being, towel rod & toilet paper holder placed in the guest bedroom bath were constantly hit by the shower door opening. Which cost us $400 to move. Paint quality on interior walls was sub par considering we paid for 2 coats.

The quality of the build process is much to be desired. There was more of a focus on building fast rather than building correctly and with pride. Major flooring issues caused me to have to move furniture multiple times at my own labor. It appears I have another major flooring issue in the floor by the lanai sliders needs to be leveled - requiring me again to have to move my furniture. Nicole Dwyer (our Mastercare rep) has been super fantastic to work with. She is an 11 out of 10 rating. Unfortunately, she has had to be the face of Minto trying to resolve our issues with the build quality. She handled it with grace, held her company accountable, and never once tried to say things that I heard from Matt Cantrell (our building super) that the lack of quality should be expected and accepted. Nicole is a fantastic employee and should be rewarded.

Like Colin our superintendent. He was excellent and was on top of the issues we had, which were minor to start. Our only negative issue with the landscaping and irrigation. We have so many issues with front and back lawn, irrigation, and dead plants. Irrigation was finally resiled after 10 months btu the plants had already died and never replaced. Back yard is a swamp. on so on.

Overall, the experience has been good - have enjoyed working with [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]. The companies/workers have been quick to accommodate any concerns. The HOA itself can be difficult. They tend to be unavailable if needed, not always pleasant, and I understand they must deal with alot of nonsense at times. However, it is a customer service job and there are certain expectations. The HOA is the main reason I would not recommend someone to move here. If somehow this can be turned around, it would be to one's advantage, which is why I always feel it is best to have homeowners on the HOA board because they can see first hand the difficulties and struggles the HOA deals with. I am certainly happy to discuss further if you like.

Quality of the finish work was lacking (miter joints in baseboards & door frames). Better choice of location for such things as towel rods. Example being, towel rod & toilet paper holder placed in the guest bedroom bath were constantly hit by the shower door opening. Which cost us $400 to move. Paint quality on interior walls was sub par considering we paid for 2 coats.
